Miss Mandy Pete
mistress-nine:

So, this isn’t a fake nail or anything, it’s just nail polish. But it just popped clean off my left index finger. Anyone else ever experience their nail polish just sliding right off their nail?
No base, China Glaze For Audrey, Essie Set in Stones, with Essie Good to Go if it makes any difference.

I’ve totally had this happen before! I have that same china glaze color and have never had any issue with that specifically, I believe when it happened to me it was an OPI color. I’m not sure it really makes a difference. The only thing I can figure is that I buffed my nail too smooth, I didn’t use a base, or I had some extra oils on my nails that day. I feel like the oil theory is the most likely. I try to make sure I haven’t put on lotion or cuticle oil recently before doing my nails. Washing your hands or soaking your nails in dish soap will also do the trick to get rid of oils that make polish kind of slide right off and not stick. Super weird when that happens though!
